How do I view hotel rates after a search is complete?
Hotel rates obtained from a search are displayed in the results grid in the
Hotel Rates tab. This window may look confusing at first, but
it is easy to understand once you explore it a little.
There are three main sections of the hotel rates tab. The upper left is the search criteria.
The lower section
shows the master list of all
hotels that were found in the current search. Each row in the list shows the
total cost for the hotel room(s) from each travel website that has rooms available for that
hotel. The best price for each hotel will be highlighted in yellow.
The list is initially sorted by
hotel name, but clicking on any column will resort the list by that column.
The Best Price column (highlighted in green) quickly shows you the
best price for each hotel. The Savings Potential column (highlighted
in blue) quickly shows you the amount you can save by booking through the cheapest
website.
Selecting a hotel in the master list at
the bottom will display the booking details for that hotel in the upper right along with
taxes and fees. Note: some travel websites add additional fees not included
here. The travel website with the best rate will be highlighted in yellow.
Sometimes more than one travel website will tie for the best rate, so be
sure to scroll through the list to check all travel websites once a hotel is
selected.
Clicking the Map button will open a new tab and take you to an
interactive map showing the selected hotel's location.
Clicking the Hotel Review button allows you to read and write reviews of the selected hotel.
Clicking the Book It! button will open a new tab and take you to
the booking page for the selected hotel at the cheapest travel website.
Complete the form at the travel website to book the room. You can also double
click a travel website in the hotel details list (upper right) to go directly to
the booking page for that hotel at the travel website you selected.
